Index of Works
Selected Works
Clynt White makes site-specific public artwork in concrete, stone and line. A record of recent commissioned works, read like an index: numbered, plainly captioned, and built for the places they sit in.
Ground Currents
A pierced basalt stone set on a cast concrete disc, its surface inlaid with a flowing line pattern that reads the ground of the site. A commissioned public artwork, made to belong to its setting rather than to be dropped onto it.
Stone Through Line
A quarried stone set upright on a circular perforated-metal disc, bedded into the ground. The cut line runs from the metal into the setting, tying the made mark to the site it stands in.
Circular Field
A circular perforated-metal ring and a set of chevron-cut panels, machined to a precise repeating line. Where stone brings weight, the metal brings the exact, drawn edge that catches and moves the light through the day.
Start a commission
Every commission begins with a conversation about the place, the brief and the budget. Tell us about the site and the work grows from there, on site, in the master's own materials.
